Brinda Miller

Brinda was born in 1960. She studied at the Parsons School of Design, New York and completed her Diploma in Textile Design from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai in 1979. 

Brinda’s works have always been a combination of realism and abstraction experimented across various mediums such as oils, acrylics, corrugated cardboard, cloth and metallic paper. Her artwork is a strong amalgamation of architectural elements and abstract urbanscapes. She is known to play with materials in a collage, creating three dimensional effects. Brinda’s piece for this exhibition is titled Response to Stimuli and is a mixed media on canvas piece of work. 

Brinda has held many solo exhibitions in Mumbai and has been a part of many significant national and international group shows at prestigious galleries such as Reflections Art Gallery, Hong Kong, Colors of India, Dubai and many more. She has been actively organizing art events such as the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, and has been an Executive Committee Member of Kala Ghoda Association since 2000. 

Brinda has won several awards like The Rotary Club of Sealand as 'Acclaimed Artist', 2009; Women Achievers Award from the Giants Group, 2009; International Women's Day Award, the Indian Institute of Interior Design - Icon Among Women Award, 2010; Bharat Nirman Award, 2017. 

Brinda lives and works out of Mumbai.
