Dheeraj Yadav

Dheeraj was born in 1989 and is from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his Graduation and Post-Graduation of Fine Arts from Prayagraj University. During his post-graduation, there was an opportunity for the artist to connect with the art world by connecting to various mediums of communication such as Google and creative media. Following which a new method of experimentation with work manifests.

During his graduation, he completed a series of figurative works, for which he was awarded the Camlin Foundation Award in 2010 and the Lalit Kala award from Uttar Pradesh in 2011. He was invited to the Artist in Residency Program for a period of 15 days on behalf of the Honourable Former President Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee in 2017. He has been honoured with various national awards and has organized various solo and group exhibitions. Nature is always an inspiration for him; the artist perceives nature as a mother, which is the main subject of his paintings. Later, he also made some paintings on human relations. He has a tremendous passion for drawing, the main area of his drawings are goddesses (especially Durga), animals, birds and fish. He tries to do some experiments in his work, with new concepts and mediums. Concepts usually arise, when the artist invests time into it and ruminates about which elements are needed to make new ideas come alive. Elements that the artist uses in his paintings are related to daily life.

His exhibit with us is titled Mysterious Lines, a mixed media on paper made in 2021.
