Girjesh Kumar Singh

Girjesh Kumar Singh was born in 1981 in Semra Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, India. He graduated in Literature, Economics and Philosophy.  As he was a student of philosophy, he went to art school, first, in Banaras where he completed his BFA, and then to Vadodara to do his MFA in Sculpture from the Maharaja Sayajirao University. 

Girjesh has been a part of various symposia, art camps and workshops. His first solo show, Sundaram, was sponsored by Lalit Kala Akademi in Varanasi in 2004.  Since then, he has participated in several solo and group shows in Kochi, Mumbai, Lucknow, New Delhi, Varanasi, Vadodara, Chicago, Dubai, Istanbul, London and Singapore. 

He lives and works in Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat. 

His exhibit with us is titled The Doors that let you leave…, made out of rubble of brick and mortar from demolished structures
