Purvi Parmar

Purvi Parmar was born in 1988 in Gujarat. In 2008, she received her Diploma in Painting in Ahmedabad. In 2013, she completed her Post Diploma in printmaking in Baroda.

Purvi has won several awards for her work. In 2013 & 2015, Purvi won awards for printmaking at the 52nd & 54th State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad. She has won awards for drawing and printmaking from AIFACS in New Delhi (2014 & 2015); Gujarat Kala Pratisthan, Gujarat (2014); the junior scholarship from State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad (2014).

She has participated in various group and solo exhibitions. Her solo shows include ‘Optimistic Surroundings’ at Hotel Hyatt, Ahmedabad (2014); ‘Optimistic Surrounding 2’ at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2015) and at the Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad. She has participated in various group shows including at the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad, Bombay Art Society at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and Huthisingh Visual Art Centre, Ahmedabad.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.

Her exhibit with us is titled Pencil on Canvas, a pencil on canvas made in 2021.
