Ravi Kumar Kashi

Ravikumar Kashi (born in 1968) is a Bangalore-based multi-disciplinary artist. His work spans painting and drawing to photography, installation and artist books among other mediums, articulating individual and collective experience of contemporary socio-political and cultural identities.

Kashi has a Bachelors in Fine Arts, Bangalore University and a Masters in Fine Arts in Printmaking, M.S. University, Baroda and Masters in English Literature, Mysore University, in 1995. He has learnt handmade paper making in Glasgow School of Art, U.K and traditional Korean paper making, from Jang Ji Bang, Korea. His works have been shown internationally in various Museum shows, Biennials, Art Fairs and galleries. He has won many awards including the National award and Karnataka Sahitya Academy for his writing. He writes on art and visual culture in Kannada and English. He is a visiting faculty at RV College of Architecture and Azim Premji University.

His two exhibits with us are titled Traces 18 and Traces 19 which are Acrylic, pen, pastel and carbon on canvas made in 2021.
