Vinod Sharma

Vinod Sharma was born in 1952. He has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Delhi College of Arts. He also holds a master’s degree from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

The artist mainly paints landscapes using subdued colors with thin oils. This technique helps him to create a calming effect on the viewer. The artist also focuses on the texture in his paintings.

Vinod has exhibited his work in solo exhibitions in Kochi, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Baroda. He has also participated in group exhibitions – Arushi Arts at Visual Art Gallery, New Delhi (2001); Visual Arts Gallery, New Delhi, (2003 and 2006); Gallery Joie at Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi (2008) – to name a few.

The artist has been honoured with a Senior Art Fellowship in Painting by the Government of India in 1999. He has received a prize from the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy, Jaipur, in 1992. In 1984, he won a prize at the All India Graphics Exhibition, Chandigarh.

His exhibit with us is titled Rock Scape, an Oil on canvas made in 2021.
